As part of the Municipal Energy Manager (MEM) Program, the Town of Pincher Creek in partnership with the Municipal District of Pincher Creek have hired a Municipal Energy Project Lead that will benchmark municipal facilities, identify energy savings opportunities, and implement greenhouse gas emission reducing projects.

Welcome to the “Homeowner Climate Risk Assessment Checklist” for the Pincher Creek region in Alberta. This important tool comes from the 2023 Climate Resiliency and Adaptation Report. The Climate Risk Assessment and Adaptation Report was developed in partnership with the Town of Pincher Creek, Municipal District of Pincher Creek, and Piikani Nation which compose the region for the purpose of this checklist.

Beverly McLachlin Drive will be closed between Frederick Street and Adelaide Street from May 1 to May 2 to allow for the installation of a utility services.

PRESS RELEASE – STAGE 1 WATER RESTRICTION IN EFFECT
April 24, 2024
April 24, 2024 - For immediate release – On Monday, April 22, 2024, Town Council passed the amended Water Utility Bylaw. Changes to the bylaw include the trigger points for enacting water restrictions in the Town of Pincher Creek. This update was requested by the province as part of the Town of Pincher Creek’s Drought Management Plan.
 
The Town of Pincher Creek has moved from Stage 2 Water Restriction to Stage 1 Voluntary Water Conservation effective April 24, 2024 based on the Water Utility Bylaw 1631-24 revisions of April 22, 2024.
